" Your creations are not only very unique - but in many cases breathtakingly exquisite! Be assured you have a customer FOR LIFE!
Eleanor S.
I work as a dealer full-time in the casino business here on the coast. After Hurricane Katrina hit us in Aug 05' I had plenty of time to reflect on my priorities in life and what I wanted to do with the rest of it. The casino business has always been there for me, but it's not the fulfilling career I had envisioned for myself growing up. Jewelry creation fills that void. I feel I'm doing what I was meant to do and I've stopped searching for the next thing. Would I have started my own business had Katrina not hit us...??? I'd like to think that I would have eventually found my way here, but I am grateful for the little "push" it gave me to remember that life is short and it doesn't wait. We make our own happiness and it's important to do what makes us happy and fulfilled. In a way, I feel like I've come full circle. It hit me awhile back, I recalled that I come from a "jewelry" background. My Great-grandmother, Grandmother and Great-Uncle all owned jewelry stores in Wisconsin. They sold gemstones and diamonds and did a lot of custom design work. So, in a way, I'm following in the footsteps of my family. I was very young then, too young to glean any of their vast knowledge, which is unfortunate, they were very intelligent and creative people. I know that they are helping and guiding me along this path though.
I'm learning to create own focal pieces in glazed clay and the raku' technique of firing. I hand-form some of my own beads in polymer clay. I want my jewelry pieces to be as completely hand crafted in their design as I can make them.
Thank you for looking at my web site. I'll be adding pieces as they become available. I hope you'll find something that you like. Come back and see me!!
